SEAFOOD DINNERS – Friday 17th February

To kick off the weekend we will be running a series of very special Friday night dinners at our favourite restaurants in Apollo Bay and the Otways. Each restaurant will present a special set menu focusing on local seafood and local produce.

APOLLO BAY SEAFOOD FESTIVAL - HARBOUR DAY Presented by The Victorian Fisheries Authority – Saturday 18th February 11:00 AM

On Saturday, February 18 2023, the Apollo Bay Seafood Festival will take over the Apollo Bay Harbour once again for a celebration of the finest seafood the town has to offer.

A pack-filled day of pop-up restaurants, cooking demonstrations, and seafood markets.

Lobster rolls, seafood dumplings, huge paellas, octopus skewers, southern rock lobster, abalone sashimi, Apollo Bay Bakeries’ famous Scallop Pies, calamari cones, bao buns organic oysters and much more will be on offer from our range of food vendors.

Kids will be able to get in on the fun with a hands-on educational program featuring interactive demonstrations and displays, sailing, casting competitions and harbour expeditions. With some of Australia’s best musical acts over two stages, the festivities will wind up late into the evening.

CONVERSATIONS IN THE LITTORAL – Sunday 19th February 10:00 AM

Conversations are happening again, and this year we are back ‘On the Edge’!

The discussions will explore some of the key critical issues that affect the ocean, and the land, and how we as humans can live with both in harmony rather than depleting and destroying. A range of speakers including fishermen, scientists, ocean activists, farmers, chefs and Indigenous knowledge holders will challenge our way of seeing the world, and how we interact with the environment around us.


Apollo Bay Seafood Festival acknowledges the festival is held on Gadubanud Country, We acknowledge them as the traditional custodians of this land and pay our respects to their culture, their people and elders past, present and future. Sovereignty was never ceded.

What do I get for my $20 ticket?

Entry to the festival with two stages of music and entertainment, seafood cooking demonstrations, workshops, roaming performers, and a range of Victorias best food vendors and bars.

Kids under 12 enter for Free.

The festival is open from 11AM-8PM

Are there pass outs for the event?

Yes

Is it wheelchair accessible?

Yes

Are dogs allowed? No, we love dogs but the festival is busy and not the environment for furry friends. Assistance dogs allowed.

Is smoking allowed?

No


Are children free?

Yes, kids under 12 are free. The kid’s area is jam-packed with entertainment including face-painting, marine education, rides and more. Gold coin donation. The Kids Program runs from 11am to 6pm

Do I have to buy tickets online?

For Harbour day, No, but if you pre-purchase your ticket you can skip the queues and go into the running for some great prizes. To purchase tickets for Harbour Day go to https://events.ticketbooth.com.au/event/absf2023. For other core events, Yes you will need to purchase a ticket

Will there be wine?

Yes!

Where do I park?

Its preferable to walk to the event as parking is very limited. If you must drive, then go through town, past the co-op, and down the hill and you will be directed


Will there be music?

Yes, all day. There will be two stages running from 11am to 8pm

Will there be cooking demonstrations?

Yes, the cooking demonstrations will be back in 2023

Is it BYO?

No, and glass is not permitted

Will it be fun?
